So, the purpose driven life is now done. I briefly though about what to do for a devotional, because I still felt like I needed something to stay on track with. I brought out this discipleship journal that I got a while ago, and it works by having lessons on Christlike characteristics; except you don't just focus on them for one day. Each lesson is learned and focused on for a whole week. Yesterday, I started the third one, which was on patience. And the scripture that I'm working on is this:

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning; the patient in spirit are better than the proud in spirit.
Eccl. 7:8

There's more scripture on patience to memorize, but that's the one that I wanted to start with. What's really cool about this journal is that it will several positive examples of each characteristic from scripture, and them compare it to several negative ones. It also asks you many deep questions about whatever it's talking about, gives you a small space for a daily journal entry, as well as notes from the weekly bible study and prayer requests and stuff.

Anyway, I'm off to do today's before I go home. So, take care, all.

That sounds cool. My church gives out a little book of daily devotionals. It also has the dates in which they are to be done and there is a new one that comes out every 3 months. These devotionals are short so if you are interested let me know and I could get one for you. However, I do believe that my church asks for a donation or something very small. Anyway, like I said let me know if you are interested in getting one. I am probably going to pick on up for myself just because I also want to stay on track of doing a devotional everyday or almost everyday.
